We play ‘Wanna be Startin Something’ and ‘PYT’ and all those joints when we go on the road. I think those might be the two most danceable songs ever.. I think everyone around my age got their sense of what pop music is period from Michael Jackson songs… and Mj is still the standard for live performance in pop and r&b… not to mention the videos… I think the music, the dancing, the videos - all of it just expanded our imaginations growing up.

He just did it on a scale that i don’t think we’ll ever see again, given how the music industry is now. He broke the race barrier on MTV… It goes on and on… His music is so universally adored and will be for a long long time… The Motown 25th yr performance… the Thriller video… So many legendary moments in music… We are all indebted to him for entertaining and inspiring us
