Shakira announces pregnancy with footballer boyfriend

Newly hired The Voice coach Shakira has another huge announcement this week. After being named along with Usher as the two new coaches replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green on next season of The Voice (Season 3 of The Voice airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on MUCH), Shakira has even more news to share.

Pictures of the Latin singer looking slightly bigger in the midsection surfaced online, leading many to speculate that Shakira and boyfriend, professional football player Gerard Piqué, were having a baby. It looks like Shakira’s hips weren’t lying, as the singer has now confirmed the news on her Facebook page, also announcing that she will be taking time off to concentrate on the birth.

Shakira and Piqué met while filming the music video for her song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa). Shakira previously dated Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rua for eleven years before meeting Piqué. This is the couple’s first child together.

I don’t think her breasts will be staying ‘small and humble‘ for much longer.
