Shakira looking for opening act for 2010 tour

Shakira is giving up-and-coming musicians the shot of a lifetime.

The singer is launching a talent competition and the grand prize is opening for her on tour next year. Aspiring singers can soon apply by submitting videos to her website.

Fans will be able to vote on their favourites with Shakira herself making the final decision. A rep for the She Wolf says, “There are a lot of talented artists, and Shakira wants to help them by giving them part of her stage.”

Shakira released her new album, She Wolf, earlier this week.
