She’s Like One In A Mill-YUNN!!!

OMG! Sometimes I completely forget about things existing, such as mini bananas and my brain. This morning I read two words that had totally slipped my mind: PEPPER ANN. Who remembers this show?! She was this red-headed firecracker cartoon type, and here I was, at 16, watching the show every Saturday morning. Yes, I was a lame 16-year-old (Explains current me). I would daydream how one day, after I finished working at MuchMusic and hanging with my best friends Master T, Sook Yin Lee and Rachel Perry, I would write for a cartoon TV show like Pepper Ann.

Ah, Pepper Ann: kids’ TV done right. Here’s the show opener, to refresh your mammary!

  2. Haha, you’re not lame Wendy, or else that makes me lame! I love ABC/Disney’s “One Saturday Morning” my god, theres nothing like that on Saturday mornings now, those few hours were like an event every morning, with all those awesome segments inbetween the shows.

    Pepper Ann is cool, I liked Doug, and Recess, but my favorite still to this day is “The Weekenders” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFwrF-SRu7s

    It was one of the later shows, but that show is just great, crisp animation, vibrant colours, and the writting is very good, still holds up after many repeat viewings. I think it can still be seen on Family Channel at 12:30 and 3:30pm.

    The Weekenders is a show that I would want to make, hopefully will at some point as I’m an animator, currently working not too far away from the MuchMusic studio.

  3. pepper ann was the best show like…ever.

    i used to think she was SOO mature and old…until i remembered the show in grade 8 (when we all broke out randomly in song and dance to the theme song) and realized…she was only in 7th grade.

  4. I still watch The Weekenders. Not gonna lie. That show is golden!

    But yeah I compleatly forgot about Pepper Ann!
