Sia to come out of “semi-retirement” and record new album

April 19th, 2013

Well that was a short retirement.

Sia, the star behind hits like Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones” and David Guetta’s “Titanium”, announced her retirement from music last year, but it seems like the singer is already back in the studio recording a new album.

The singer, who has released five albums and is currently spending her time writing songs for Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Ne-Yo, is reportedly working with a number of producers including Diplo, who confirmed this news to Rolling Stone.

“I have a lot of production that’s about to come out,” he says. “Everything from Tinie Tempah to Chris Brown to Sia. I have a lot of records coming out.”

Greg Kurstin has also admitted that he is working with Sia.

“We’re making an album,” Kurstin says. “I know she said she was semi-retired, but we’re doing an album. I’m producing it and it’s really fun. She’s awesome.”
