“Smize” for Ty’s New Book

Tyra Banks is expanding her empire once again. The model-turned-reality television star is now a published author, with a new book trilogy called “Modelland.” The first book comes out on September 13 and follows the lead character of “Tookie De La Crème” as she navigates the mysterious world of “Modelland.” Tyra says the book is a fantasy, adventure novel, where people need to find a “Smize” to help their chances of getting into a special school. Um… We always thought “Smize” referred to “smiling with your eyes” (seriously, we’ve practiced it!) but how that helps someone get into a school is beyond us. Still, Tyra has perfected her own “smize” so we know she’ll perfect her new role as author as well.

As for the books – which are loosely based on Tyra’s life – expect a cross between America’s Next Top Model, Harry Potter and Pretty Little Liars. Curious to find out more? Here’s the official description of the novel:
