Solange and Beyonce

Oh Solange, I get that you’re Beyonce’s sister and have that whole protective-vibe thing going on, but you gotsta watch what you say! After Sunday nights Grammy ceremony, Solange took to Twitter to voice her displeasure over the ‘lack’ of media coverage for Beyonce’s Grammy winnings. I have put bunny ears around lack, cuz I’ve been seeing Beyonce all over the place since Sunday. Just me?

Solange tweeted “I’m sorry but I’m having another Kanye rant moment. My sister BROKE THE RECORD for the MOST GRAMMY’S IN ONE NIGHT BY ANY FEMALE. so why do i KEEP seeing “other artists” as the Nights “big winner”…(*kanye shrug here) ????”
(Please note that the poor grammar and caps lock are Solanges…I’m not much of a yeller.)

I’m gonna go ahead and assume the ‘big winner’ that Solange is referring to is Taylor Swift. Firstly, Taylor Swift won Record of the Year, which is considered the highest Grammy achievement. So if Swift is considered the big winner, that’s why.

Secondly, Beyonce is everywhere, doing everything, and being praised by everyone. Let’s all just simma down nawh.

Thirdly, have you not been paying attention to the past five months? You obviously remember Kanye walking in on Taylor Swift’s AMA acceptance speech, because you specifically mention his rant. In that case, you should also remember the HUGE fallout and general desire by most people to smack Kanye after the AMA’s. Didn’t you think it was odd that he wasn’t at the Grammys, Solange? It’s because people still haven’t forgiven him. Therefore, if you think your sister is getting shafted, fine. Just speak out about it in a positive way and don’t bash other people while doing it. Or else you will be sent to the time-out zone with Kanye. Geez, I can’t believe I actually have to spell this out! Is it recess yet? Let’s all play nice, kids.
