Solar Year feat. Grimes “Brotherhood” (Stream)

Montreal production duo Solar Year quietly released their debut album, Waverly, on iTunes in June. The stand out track on the ten-track effort is easily “Brotherhood,” an ominous, droning bit of new age that features Claire Boucher, aka Grimes, “chanting a dark medieval Nico voice in a duet with me,” David Ertel told Gorilla Vs Bear. Handmade CD copies of Waverly are currently doing the rounds in Montreal, however, a vinyl release is said to be in the works.
