Speidi Vs. Beef Curtains - I’m An American!

OK, after all of this hullabaloo over Heidi and Spencer’s war against Laguna Beach’s princess Lauren Conrad, we finally got to see the first fight that ignited it all on last night’s premiere episode of The Hills.
First off, let’s discuss how LC has transformed herself from a surf and turf kind of gal to a full-out fashionista. It looks like she took a few fashion cues from the intern turned Teen Vogue employee (yay!) Whitney (umm, as if you couldn’t love her anymore she just had to steal that first scene where Lauren introduced her to that Brit -’NO!’) - there was not a single ’scene’ where LC wasn’t sporting a jaw-dropping dress…for reals.
Moving on, I love how LC finally developed a personality! Let’s just say that I was on Team Kristin when Laguna Beach was on.. It wasn’t until the second season of The Hills did we even see an ounce of personality in Lauren…all it took was a little bit of Spence to spark this girl’s fire… So for that I thank the devil himself, ahem, Spencer.
Anyways, right off the bat, Lauren was partying it up with a bunch of randoms. Very unlike the mopey LC that we’re used to seeing - that can only mean Season 3 is going to be all about DRAMA.
Next item: Fake boobies and nose. Thoughts? I actually think Heidi’s old nose suited her moreso than this new one… And the boobs, well, clearly this was the doing of the devil himself…
Character To Look Forward To: Justin Bobby? JB? At first glance, all of us gals watching the Hills were impressed by Audrina’s Johnny Depp-esque beau… BUT that all changed when he started to talk…this guy is a joker.
The Fight: Ahhhh shi*t. As if Heidi, didn’t know what she did! That girl is just as slimy as her good for nothing fiance. This scene probably has to go down as one of my fave Hills moments. LC has finally proven herself to me that she ain’t all that bad…I thought at one point Lauren was going to toss her drink at Heidi’s new boobs - that would’ve just topped that scene off!
And last but not least, THE RING!!!! Spencer doesn’t cease to disappoint when he decides to pick up Heidi’s GAUDY ring from the local five and dime. Seriously though, as if we didn’t know Spencer lacked class, he asked Brody to borrow his credit card to buy ‘the love of his life’ an engagement…Who is this guy? Is it safe to say that he maybe worse than K-FED?
Most Awkward Scene: Hmm, so Lauren goes to the washroom and Audrina chases after her…but why can’t we see Lauren reading the letter in washroom? What could she be doing? Perhaps something that Jason introduced to her…I’m just saying…
Sex Tape Or Not: Rumour? I think that there’s one kicking one around but it doesn’t excuse the malicious things Speidi said…
Overall, I have to say that the two back to back episodes of The Hills were solid.
P.S. Does anyone on the show have an upper lip?

i watched it but i didn’t know there were two back to back episodes so i only saw the first one! i can’t believe heidi moved out with spencer chose over her friends. what a loooooser.

The first 2 episodes were by far better than any other hills episodes and it just started. cant wait to see the rest looks like its going to be a great season.

Oh man…the episodes were sooo good! My thoughts, in descending order of love to loathe:
Whitney - Whitney is all class, all the time. Very understated, but still makes a statement. I love how she listens to LC’s incessant babbling while maintaining total composure. Very professional new ‘boss’.
Lauren - like you said, she’s really stepped it up this season. She looks fabulous, and I love how she’s up for a wild time…when she picks up that Brit in the bar, she announces drunkenly to her friends “He’s from London and he’s only going to be here until tomorrow….jackpot!!!” HAHAHA.
Lauren’s MOM - Could you have a cooler mom? Plus, she talks exactly like the rest of the girls and she’s like, 40.
Audrina - Despite not having an upper lip (see also: Heidi, Spencer), she’s being a really good friend & roommate to Lauren. Not a huge fan, but she’s definitely more likeable than last season.
Jen Bunney - Ew. Next.
Heidi - The nose & new boobs look terrible. What was wrong with her nose before!? And how can she say that her relationship with Spencer is “flawless” and “perfect”? Ugh…ew. She’s quickly descending into Tori Spelling territory. I love that she handed a LETTER to Lauren at the birthday party. WHO DOES THAT? And what about the scene where she and JB are outside at her housewarming (which btw, she invites people the DAY OF - wtf?), she says “I wish they were here so they could see how much fun we’re having” - while looking in on an EMPTY house, that they’re not even part of. The party’s so fun that you’re out on the patio getting away from it all?
Spencer - Total cheese. He’s unbelievably slimy. PLEASE ACQUIRE AN UPPER LIP. And some class.
I also love how Heidi tells Lauren she’s thinking of moving out with Spencer, and then mere hours later, she’s packing. A few hours after THAT, she has a moving van booked and is ready to go. Reality TV???
