I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want! A Spice Girls musical! Damn, that really didn’t rhyme as well as I hope it would.

Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Haliwell and former Spice Girl’s manager Simon Fueller are teaming up with Judy Craymer to create a musical based on the group’s rise to fame. Craymer is the mastermind behind the huge musical hit, Mamma Mia, based on the music of Abba. Her specialty seems to be taking pop music that everyone lies about liking and make it cool. Good on ya, Craymer!

Could the Spice Girls musical follow in the footsteps of Mammia Mia and eventually be made into a movie? Ya never know. But seriously, if Meryl Streep tries to play Baby Spice, I’m not going to watch.
