This morning I saw MSTRKRFT’s video for “Work On You” for the first time. It made me happy. And then it made me sad. And then it left me hanging. I can’t deal with all these emotions in the morning when I’m cranky.

So at first, this video is super sexy. Keep in mind that it’s animated - animated ROBOTS - yet somehow they manage it. Ok, maybe also keep in mind that I’ve got this weird thing for sexy robots. Ok, that kind of came out wrong. But anyway, sexy video. Stud robot and lady robot fall in love. It’s nice.

But THEN, Mr. Stud robot gets cocky in his fancy car. He starts speeding through red lights for a cheap thrill. NOT a good idea when you’ve got a lady in the car, let me tell you. Stupid stud robot slams into another car and his girlfriend gets DECAPITATED. Definitely not my favourite thing, I was shocked and almost felt like crying when I saw that, but instead gasped extremely loudly. I probably woke up my neighbour. Stupid stud robot.

In the end, Stud robot re-builds lady robot and her eyes light up, and the video fades to black. SEQUEL, PLEASE. I need to know if she gives him a good talking to and then proceeds to cold shoulder him for a few weeks. Cause seriously, that was a LAME ASS thing to do. I’m talking about the running of red lights thing, cause actually, re-building her was pretty romantic.
