StyL’D Finale: AND THE WINNER IS…..

July 7th, 2010

The Fantasic Four!

The final look. The final pulls. The final style. It’s the finale of StyL’D, and Jen Rade, Julie Weiss, and Eric Archibald have made their decision. But did the right person win? Read for more! And you have to check out how the entire competition went down – the stars, the styles, the tears, and the backstabbing! See full episodes HERE and exclusive galleries HERE!!

And we pick up right were we left off. Janna and Cody are having it out after she sees him kissing another girl (this is right after Janna and Cody got together the night before! What a pig!).

The screaming match brings them all the way to Jen Rade’s front door, where she comes out to demand what is going on. Janna has to tell her the sad truth, to which Jen rolls her eyes, and fires her on the spot (not because of the Cody thing, but because she sucks as a designer….well, she does…….!).

She did not have what it takes at all!

The next day, Brett is out with Eric to dress High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale for her evening concert. They go for a rock look, but it turns out, Ashley rocks out harder than they thought, and she doesn’t really like any of their pulls, save for a pair of short shorts pulled by Brett.

They hunt the city for more “rock” clothing, only to dress in minutes before her performance in a top she initially threw aside. But that wasn’t the only obstacle for Brett – his roommate didn’t think they could live together anymore. If you’ve seen Brett’s life, you would agree with her. But that pushed Brett to move everything into his car, not knowing he would be doing all the driving with the designer clothes and Eric sitting beside him (I’m talking greasy pots and pans beside piles of messy clothes and blankets….and the senior stylist and his pulls).

High School Musical get's styled!

Gary, Tara, and Cody are out with Jen Rade to dress The Veronicas for a magazine photo shoot. This turns into a really fierce competition between Gary and Tara as they are both really good stylists (they don’t think Cody’s competition….and they’re right. He can’t dress women for his life). Tara runs home to grab stuff from her personal collection, and that does her well: the Veronicas pick one of Gary’s pulls and Tara’s pulls for their photo shoot.

And then we came to the end……

The final ranking gets underway. Once the four remaining stylists sit down for their final grade, right off the bat, Jen Rade says Cody is not the person for this job. He can dress men, but he can’t dress women, and they need someone who can do both.

Then there were three. Each was allowed to present their final arguments. In the end, Gary said he’s proven himself and can be trusted not to bring his personal life into the mix. Tara recognized her temper is her own worst enemy. Brett knows his personal life is messed, but he has never disappointed them.

This guy to totally a winner!!!

And Tara came in as their third choice. Between the two guys….Brett was declared the WINNER!!! And I think he deserved it!! He has always ranked in the top two spots for the entire competition. He knows he can style both women and men, and despite his messed up life, he has always showed up for this jobs, brought a fun attitude to his work, and never let anything stand in his way. He was even fired and rehired, and made amends with Julie over the different jobs.

Gary and Tara were sad, but I think the MMA stylists were right in giving the contract to Brett.

What about you guys? Did they make the right choice? Are you hurting for season 2?
