Get pumped for another season of The Voice (September 12)
The original reality TV show to feature swivel chairs is back! We’ve been following the latest news on this show all summer and we’re beyond excited to see Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton return as they duke it out for some of the country’s most promising up-and-coming talent. This season, the show has not only added fresh faces in the form of mentors Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Mary J. Blige, Michael Buble and Rob Thomas, but the structure of the show has slightly be altered, adding a new twist to the already addictive show. Catch it on September 12 on MUCH!
Resident Evil: Retribution (September 14)
The Resident Evil film franchise will celebrate their ten-year anniversary this fall with their fifth installment, Resident Evil: Retribution. Milla Jovovich returns as the kickass protagonist Alice whose fight again the evil Umbrella Corporation isn’t over just yet. Too lazy to play video games? Then sit back, relax and take in this exhilarating video game adaptation instead – your hands are free to dive into some popcorn!
Carly Rae Jepsen – Kiss (September 16)
With the crazy success of Call Me Maybe, Carly Rae Jepsen has single-handedly dominated the summer. But, of course, we need more now and thank goodness it’s not that long of a wait. Jepsen’s highly-anticipated new album Kiss will be released on September 16 (just a few weeks away!) and we’re ready for more hits from Justin Bieber’s prized artist. Watch out for her this fall as she hits the road with Bieber on tour across the US and Canada!
No Doubt – Push & Shove (September 25)
Not only is No Doubt’s Push & Shove one of the most anticipated albums of the fall, it’s the most anticipated album of the year. We’ve been waiting for a new album from these 90s pop-rock heroes since 2001 when they released their last record Rocky Steady. The band has been releasing snippets of the album throughout the summer, but we think we’re finally ready to take in the entire album! Listen to their first single Settle Down below:
Ellie Goulding – Halcyon (October 8)
Ellie Goulding’s hit single Lights have been climbing the charts all summer, but here’s a little fact: the song’s been out for over a year now. As much as we still love that song, we need new tunes or else we’ll go crazy! Luckily, October 8 marks the return of Goulding and her new album, Halcyon. In an interview, the British songstress reveals that this new album will be a bit of a departure from the first, adding, “I’ve moved on quite a bit since the first album, because I’ve discovered so much; I’ve learned a lot more and I’ve grown up a lot more. I’ve gained more influences and different influences and people have influenced it; I suppose just circumstances.” She goes on to describe the sound on Halcyon, saying, “It’s a bit more tribal and anthemic; a bit more piano and vocal than anything. The last album was very electronic, but it was tied in with my voice; this one, to me, is way more of a pop record.”
The final season of Gossip Girl (October 8)
This is it — after five seasons of sex, lies and drama, Gossip Girl will return for one last season this fall. Last season, we left off with Blair and Chuck at a poker table, with her claiming that she’s ready to “go all in” but is Chuck? Get ready for a packed season filled with new characters, new romances and maybe even an appearance from Gossip Girl herself? Fingers crossed! xoxo Make sure to tune into MUCH on October 8 for the season premiere of GG!
Degrassi returns (October 12)
We got to spend most of our summer with the kids of Degrassi, but since the show wrapped up a few weeks ago, we’re already clamouring for more! Thankfully, we only have to wait till October 12 for more episodes of this popular MUCH show. Check out the Degrassi page right now and catch up on all the episodes now!
Paranormal Activity 4 (October 19)
October is when everything spooky kicks in to high gear, just in time for Halloween. Definitely one of the films to watch out for is Paranormal Activity 4 because, well, have you seen the first three? We’re still get a little paranoid and jumpy thinking about it! The original film in the franchise helped re-launch found footage films as a much-sought after film genre, becoming the biggest hit of its kind since the Blair Witch Project. For a good scare, make sure you grab a ticket for Paranormal Activity 4 ASAP!
Calvin Harris – 18 Months (October 29)
Calvin Harris is among some of the top DJ/producers in music right now, alongside heavyweights Deadmau5 and David Guetta. The Scottish DJ returns this fall with a new album called 18 Months and a list of collabs on it is impossible not to drool over. Rihanna, Kelis, Ellie Goulding, and his most recent single Sweet Nothing featuring Florence has already got us hooked and ready for more; October 29 can’t come soon enough!
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (November 16)
So…this is going to be interesting. But scandals aside, this will still be exciting and on the top of everyone’s must-see list this fall. The final chapter of the Twilight will mark the end of another super successful franchise of books-turned-films. For the past four years, we’ve grown with Bella, Edward, Jacob and the rest of the cast of the Twilight films, but all things come to an end. Get those tissues out and get ready to cry, Twihards.
