In music, artists are always making comebacks. Let’s face it, musicians can’t stay away from the studio for long and boy are we glad that the following three bands got the strength to write some new tunes and reappear in our lives and playlists. Here’s to the three biggest comebacks of the summer!
No Doubt
It’s been over a decade since we last heard any new songs from 90s pop-rock band No Doubt. Since their last album, 2001′s Rock Steady, lead singer Gwen Stefani has built quite the solo career, as well as a successful clothing line but thank goodness, all four members have finally returned for some new tunes. Teasing us all summer with snippets of their new album, including an album title (Push & Shove), a release date (September 24) and a new single entitled Settle Down, our summer’s been spent in anticipation for this new album. September can’t come soon enough, but we must thank No Doubt for a) returning with a new album and b) keeping our summer filled with excitement and good music – we’ve had Settle Down on repeat since it came out!
Green Day
It’s been a summer filled with Green Day news, from two upcoming documentaries in the works to the news of not one, not two, but THREE new albums coming out. The first of three albums, ¡Uno! doesn’t come out until September 24, but the band has been releasing songs and videos like crazy all summer! It’s been three years since 2009′s 21st Century Breakdown, so it’s about time we got some new tunes from these 90s pop-punk rockers. Prepare for a lot more Green Day in the upcoming months!
Pink
Pop star Pink recently took some time off to give birth to her first daughter Willow back in 2009, but the singer is now back and better than ever with a new album and new single that’s climbing up the charts as we speak! Pink’s new album The Truth About Love with be out next month, but you can catch her new song Blow Me (One Last Kiss) all over the radio and MUCH now and for even more Pink, catch her at this year’s MTV VMAs as she performs on September 6 on MUCH!
