T-RexXx: Looking back at the Junos

March 31st, 2011

So, usually my posts are focused on what’s next, but I have to mention the JUNO weekend that just went by – which was amazing. There were a lot of people shocked, happy, disappointed and proud of Shad’s JUNO victory for Rap Recording Of The Year. Most people expected that award to be an easy win for Drake but the JUNO voting committee didn’t think so. What do you think? Well, either way I’d personally like to congratulate Shad again, and both Shad and Drake for a year of great contributions to Canadian hip-hop. I’d also like to to send a big shout out to all the other nominees: Ghettosocks, D-Sisive, and Eternia & Moss. It was also a monumental night for Drake as host of the show, even though he didn’t win one of the six awards he was nominated for. He did an amazing job as host. How do you feel about Drake not winning any awards??????

This week on #RAPCITY we are still buzzing from amazing performances from hip-hop royalty Maestro Fresh-Wes and from the new school of SWAG, Cali Swag District. We’ve got new videos from Pusha T, Danny Brown, Big Sean feat. Chris Brown, and MED feat. Talib Kweli. Last week That Kid Charron won for the fifth consecutive week and has been retired. Tonight he will be entered into the Winner’s Circle. This week we will have two new challengers, hopefully at least one female. #CALLINGALLLADIES.
