What up? I guess it’s been a minute since I blogged versus vlogged for #RAPCITY but with the show being taped now I spend less time at the station and more time off site working on cool things for the show. So just so we’re all on the same page, the show comes on early Friday mornings at 2:00 AM EST and repeats over the weekend on Saturday at 7:00 AM EST, Sunday at 4:00 AM EST and Thursday at 1:00 PM EST.
This week we visited the Justina M. Barnike Gallery on the U of T campus to see their show on Black History Month titled 28 Days: Reimagining Black History, which features four artist interpretations and stories using multimedia.
In celebration of Black History Month, we will also be doing weekly profiles on artists that we feel have made an outstanding contribution to black music and hip-hop alike. This week we focus on Nas.
We start off the show with the newest from Nicki Minaj “Stupid Hoe,” which was banned on BET, but since we’re cool we are still airing it.
In closing I wanna leave y’all with a question, that you can respond to by tweeting @MUCHrapcity or @trexxx1loveto: Should we bring back #FREESTYLE?
Talk soon, One Love!
