How To Make It In America is my new favourite show, and its theme song is a big reason why. Listen to Aloe Blacc’s I Need a Dollar here and then we can discuss the awesomeness of the song. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Amy Winehouse to launch fashion line

Amy Winehouse is teaming up with designer Fred Perry to launch a fashion line, described as cheeky-retro, for young women. The line will include twinsets, pencil skirts, capri pants and Perry’s signature golf shirts.
I’m going to try to avoid the obvious “Will there be any blood-covered ballet shoes in the line?” jokes and say that the designs actually look decent. Anything productive (and legal) that Winehouse is doing, which will hopefully lead her back to her music career, is a-okay with me.
Also, I’ve got an idea for the name of the fashion line: Winehaus. Like?

Sneak Peek Listen: Valentine’s Day Soundtrack

Valentine’s Day is a’comin’! Yay! (crickets) K, so most people are not too jazzed for this holiday. Just think of all the discount candy you can buy on February 15! Yay! (cheers) That’s better!
The upcoming rom-com Love Actually, I mean, Valentine’s Day, opens February 12. The film’s soundtrack includes Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Maroon 5, and Leighton Meester. The CD doesn’t hit stores until February 9, but you can stream the whole thang right here.

Amy Winehouse pleads guilty

Amy Winehouse has admitted to a judge that she assaulted a theatre manager last month.
The Grammy winner plead guilty to common assault and public order charges on Wednesday in a London court.
In court, Winehouse claimed she had drunk a bit too much when she grabbed the manager’s hair and called him a rude name that we can’t repeat.

* Jurassic Park 4 is happening! Rawr!
* Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan are still together, in the recording studio at least, and they are tweeting all about their relationship. Jessica tweets about Billy, “He braids my prayers.” And you make ponytails out of his dreams? WTF?
* Ke$ha performs on the Wendy Williams Show and coherently sings about drinking and partying. Pay attention Amy Winehouse!
* The Jersey Shore inspired videos have started and this is my fave! Check it out! Teeny tiny fist pumps!
* The video of a guy getting sunglasses tattooed on his face was really just a viral ad for Ray Ban. Seems like a stupid ad to me. If you get sunglasses tattooed on your face then you don’t need Ray Bans. Duh!

Amy Winehouse arrested for assault

Amy Winehouse has been arrested and charged with assault.
The singer turned herself in to police today for an incident that took place on the weekend at a London theatre.
Details are sketchy, but the British press is reporting that Winehouse began heckling the performers and then kicked the theatre manager in the groin when she was confronted about her behaviour.

Amy Winehouse may tour in 2010?

According to the singer’s goddaughter, Dione Bromfield, Amy Winehouse will launch a new tour September of next year.
Earlier this fall, reps from Wino’s record label said they hope the singer will have her new album out sometime in 2010 as well. Amy has apparently been drug-free for more than a year now.

Are Amy Winehouse’s new breasts leaking?

Problems with her new $60k breast implants might be the real reason Amy Winehouse was sent to hospital earlier this week.
Wino was rushed to a London clinic Sunday night after reportedly suffering a bad reaction to cold medication.
But on his TV show, father-of-the-year candidate Mitch Winehouse sold his daughter out saying, “She’s fine, she just had a little leaky something or other” while he pointed to his chest. Nice.

Wino Hospitalized, Again *le sigh*

Amy Winehouse is in the hospital. Again. Wino was taken to The London Clinic Sunday night after suffering an allergic reaction to cold medication. A source says the meds conflicted with prescription drugs Winehouse has been taking to battle her substance abuse. She’s expected to make a full recovery.
