Alec Koone just posted this to the Balam Acab Soundcloud page, marking a pretty significant shift from the woozy, cavernous soundscapes of last year’s Wander/Wonder LP. “Ass Pop” lives up to that title, squeaking, hopping and um, barking at a pace we rarely hear from Koone.

Balam Acab gives Twin Sister’s latest single a sublime overhaul, ricocheting backwards masked vocals, twinkling synths, immense bass lines and shuffling polyrhythms into a cavernous chamber of sound. Not sure it would go as well with the original’s creepy video, but this remix really deserves its own video. Click here to give it a listen.
