For whatever reason, white rappers in the music industry are few and far between. Vanilla Ice is probably one of the most recognizable white rappers to ever touch the rap game. “Ice Ice Baby” is a classic and cemented Ice as playing a pivotal role in mainstreaming hip hop in the late 80′s. Eyes forward, peeps. Big news ahead. We’ve told you that the godfathers of all things cool aka the Beastie Boys have made a short film recreating the epic Fight For Your Right music video with everyone in Hollywood. I’m serious. Every. One. It’s like the Royal Wedding for people who love music and don’t like waking up at 4 am to watch a ceremony that lasts fifteen hours. (But seriously, what do you think Kate will wear?)
We’ve all known this moment was coming. We told you here. And then again here. And don’t forget here. (Do we blog about anything else?) And now we have some news that will keep you glued to your TV sets tonight. That’s right, MuchMusic is airing the uncensored 22-min short film Fight For Your Right — Revisited tonight at midnight! Everyone here is taking today off to sit on their couches and wait for the amazingness to grace our TV sets. Well, everyone but the one guy that pushes ‘Play’ on all MuchMusic videos.
