* Want to buy Elliot Smith’s old car? Only $4000. Yeah, and you thought I was joking about the price, too, but I’m not.

* If you have a bit of cash left over after that fine purchase, maybe you want to pay for Billy Corgan’s (aka Mr. Smashing Pumpkins) lunch.

* How’s this for the big leagues: Joel Plaskett has been picked to open for Paul McCartney’s Halifax show on July 11th. Wowzers!

News for Thursday: Interview Hijinx, and GREEN DAY

* If you’ve been out of the loop, then I’m doing you a big favour here: WE’VE GOT THE NEW GREEN DAY VIDEO. HERE. TONIGHT. EXCLUSIVELY. Don’t worry, that gem of wisdom is free, you don’t owe me a thing.

* So nevermind that Levi Johnston (father of would-be-VP Sarah Palin’s grandbaby) won’t talk to CNN about hooking up with Bristol Palin. My question is: why aren’t they asking him about the custody battle? Or even better, WHY are they interviewing him at all?

* In another stellar interview, Lindsay spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about breaking up with Samantha Ronson. I think I’d feel more sympathetic if she wasn’t totally taking advantage of rebound-makeouts.

* Who knew Red Hot Chilli Peppers‘ front man Anthony Kiedis has an adorable side?

* There has already been some trouble with this year’s Toronto V-Fest location. Are those storm clouds on the horizon? I feel cold…

* I’d like to be able to explain what the hoops Smashing Pumpkin’s Billy Corgan is doing here… but there’s just no way I can make this coherent.

* Finally, Lily Allen drunk-dials Kings of Leon. I only wish I had an audio clip to go with this.
