Jay-Z, Latifah, Underwood rock Super Bowl

A tuxedo-clad Jay-Z kicked off the Super Bowl. He collaborated with an orchestra for a special version of his hit “Run This Town.” Queen Latifah followed with a patriotic run-through of “America the Beautiful.” Dressed in white Carrie Underwood channeled the style of Elvis Presley as she delivered the national anthem.

Pitt and Jolie donate $1 million to Haiti relief

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million towards relief in Haiti. The couple’s Jolie-Pitt Foundation made the donation towards Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres, whose three hospitals were seriously damaged during the earthquake.

Wyclef asks for help in Haiti

Wyclef Jean is seeking help for the earthquake ravaged nation of Haiti. The Haitian born musician issued a statement asking people for assistance after Tuesday’s disaster took the lives of thousands. Wyclef said he “cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse.”

Jay-Z and Beyonce top earning couple

Jay-Z and Beyonce have the number one spot on Forbes’s list of top earning couples. Together, the Knowles-Carters earned $122 million between June 2008 and June 2009, according to the magazine. Brad and Angelina were only number three with a pathetic $55 million in combined earnings. How embarrassing.
