Did you see Lady Gaga’s BRIT Awards outfit and find yourself scared out of your mind? Well so did a Nigel Britten and his fiancé Marti, grain farmers from England. The pair was getting frustrated with how many pigeons were eating their crops before they were harvested and traditional scarecrows just weren’t cutting it. In Gaga, they saw their solution. Britten told the UK’s Daily Mail, “My fiancé Marti joked that I should make a scarecrow which looked like her. I laughed and then it occurred to me it was actually a very good idea.”

Jay-Z is in the middle of a racial controversy after his BRIT Awards after-party reportedly banned white people.
The rapper threw an extravagant party late Tuesday night at the Merah club in London, England following the ceremony. According to multiple sources including “top black celebrities,” bouncers were refusing guests based on the colour of their skin.
The party also turned aggressive with “scenes of violence” occurring right under the noses of the security.
An unnamed friend close to Jay-Z, however, told The Daily Star, Jay “would not have been happy by the actions of those on the night.”

This year’s Brit Awards showed once more that Europeans know solid music, and know how to have a great time…and swear. Man, they swear a lot.
The 2010 Brit Awards were hosted by the great Peter Kay! You know, Peter Kay…yeah, I had to Wikipedia him too. The comedian did a good job with his hosting duties and definitely didn’t pull any punches, including calling Liam Gallagher a ‘knob-head.’ I love the British.
Make sure you check out the show in its entirety when MuchMusic airs the 2010 Brit Awards starting March 5. Check out some of the show’s highlights after the jump!

* Pictures from the third Twilight film Eclipse have been released. Groundbreaking? No. But, it’s another four months until the movie hits theatres. I takes what I gets.
* Billy Corgan and Jessica Simpson have actually recorded a song together. Can someone call 1997, get Billy Corgan on the phone and ask him what the hell is going on?
* Lily Allen wants to make her performance a memorable one at this year’s Brit Awards. Lily has set her sights on entering the awards show in a plane. A freakin’ plane? 16 year-old Miley Cyrus dancing on a pole during the Teen Choice Awards doesn’t seem that crazy now, does it? Nope, still crazy.
* Score: A Hockey Musical, has already started filming in Toronto and is still adding to its star line up! In addition to Olivia Newton-John and Hawksley Workman, Nelly Furtado is now set to make her acting debut as a crazed hockey fan. If there is a scene with Olivia Newton-John jersey’ing Nelly Furtado, I guarantee it will do an extra $10 million at the box office.

* Scientists say that January 18 is the most depressing day of the year. How depressing would it be to make a study trying to determine the most depressing day? Damn depressing.
* Avatar has become the top-grossing IMAX film of all time. In other predictable news, it is expected to get dark tonight, followed by sunlight in the morning.
* The Brit Award nominees have been announced and Lily Allen and Robbie Williams have both been nominated. Let the drunken acceptance speeches commence!
* Courtney Love wants to make a new Hole record, but without Melissa Auf Der Maur and Eric Erlandson. So really, just Courtney Love wants to make a new record.
* Check out pics of the almost-complete Wizardly World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando. I have seen the real thing – from behind a fence – and it looks awesome!

Remember The 2009 Brit Awards? They just aired last week, and we got so excited watching the performance clips online and hearing the sordid tales of Katy Perry’s pukefest, Kylie’s horrific ‘dancing’ number and Brandon Flowers’ medley with the legendary Pet Shop Boys that we marched straight into our head honcho’s office and demanded that we snag the rights to re-air the special on Much.
