Adam Levine talks going solo and Christina Aguilera haters

Adam Levine has had a banner year. The lead singer of Maroon 5 has found huge success as a judge on the new hit talent show The Voice alongside Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera. This summer Levine and his band mates teamed up with Aguilera for the track Moves Like Jagger and saw a huge resurgence of sales for their album Hands All Over, hitting number one on Billboard.

While Levine was in town on tour with his band we caught up with the famous front man and chatted about the prognosis on Gavin DeGraw, the tour opener who was left hospitalized after being randomly attacked by a group of men on the street, the success of The Voice, whether Adam would leave Maroon 5 for a solo career and what Levine really thinks of his co-worker, Aguilera.

The Voice is coming to MuchMusic!

Premiering on MuchMusic on Wednesday, April 27 at 7 pm ET, The Voice is the latest addition to the reality show singing competition on TV. But unlike any other show on TV, The Voice judges people solely on their singing talents, not their looks! Ugh, I love this show already! Now if they only judged people on their lip syncing techniques — I’d be in!

Not only does the judgment process make The Voice unlike any other show on TV, they’ve also got the most well-rounded and exciting judging panel evah! From country to rock, to pop, judges Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, along with host Carson Daly, represent some of the biggest musical acts in the world!
