We promised you this would be the concert of the year. We lied. It was the concert of the decade. Coldplay brought the house down (which is uber difficult to do in a parking lot) and played fan favourites as well as sneak peeks from their soon-to-be released Mylo Xyloto. The band stopped the rain long enough for fans to dance beneath the M and X’s and fireworks. They’re just that good.

Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Johnny Buckland and Will Champion were inspiring, exciting and humble and we couldn’t have asked for a better show. Check out pics from Rogers Presents: Live In The Lot With Coldplay after the jump and re-watch the magic online right now!

In September 2002, Coldplay had just released their sophomore album A Rush Of Blood To The Head. Proving they weren’t a one-album wonder, the bands second album shifted their position in the pop rock world, even making them a group others aspired to be compared alongside.

MuchMusic VJ Bill Welychka caught up with Chris Martina and Johnny Buckland to speak candidly with Coldplay’s frontman and guitarist about the new album and how people reacted the disc.

The success of Parachutes had shot the four friends to fame seemingly overnight and on the eve of their sophomore release, Coldplay were on the tips of every music journalists tongues. MuchMusic VJ Hanna Sung talked to Chris Martin and Will Champion and found out what the guys thought about the success of Yellow, why listening to their own album is like watching yourself have sex, and how the song Politik came about.
