Drake, JT, Miley, Katy on Timbaland’s album, Paramore not

Timbaland has revealed an amazing guest list for his second Shock Value album. Drake, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Nickelback, Katy Perry and yes, even Chris Brown are all set to make appearances on the album, which is scheduled for a November 23rd release.
“Morning After Dark” featuring Nelly Furtado and French singer-songwriter SoShy will be the first single.
Some other big names like Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Daughtry and Shakira were originally rumoured but have not been confirmed.

Drake, Em, Wayne and Kanye Record Track

Drake, Eminem, Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne have all joined forces in “Forever”. The song was written for the soundtrack to the upcoming LeBron James documentary More Than a Game. It’s especially poignant because poor Lil’ Wayne has been begging Eminem to do a song for like, decades. “Forever” is available for download on iTunes.

Drizzy & Diddy?

After working with mentors like Lil’ Wayne, Jay-Z and Jamie Foxx, it looks like Drake is now seeking guidance from Diddy.
The two stars were spotted in Toronto the other night club-hopping around the city before ending up at a recording studio above Tattoo Rock Parlour on Queen Street West.
According to the National Post, the pair were reportedly working on music together.
It appears Drake is making the most out of his reputation as the hottest new player in the game.

Drake to re-release So Far Gone in September
Tuesday, August 18th, 2009Drake has announced that he will officially re-release his So Far Gone mixtape.
Originally released back in February as a free digital download, it will be repackaged for retail and hit shops on September 15th.
A previously unreleased song titled “Fear” will also be included, which is said to lead So Far Gone into his upcoming album Thank Me Later, which is reportedly due on Valentine’s Day 2010.

MGMT and Jay-Z?!

Saaaaay whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Apparently synth-hippie loves of my life MGMT will make an appearance on Jigga’s up coming album The Blueprint 3. Other guest artists to appear on the record include Rihanna, Kid Cudi, and our Canadian boy Drake. On top of that there may just be some production from Timbaland, and Mr. Kanye West. Sounds like jam packed party to me! But MGMT? That should be interesting…

First Official Drake Video = Come ON!!!!
Thursday, July 2nd, 2009You’ve got the hype of a billion souls behind you, you’ve got a BIG TUNE that sets clubs on fire, and you scored KANYE WEST to direct your video. But somewhere, somehow, something went a liiiiiiittle bit wrong. For your first music video out of the gate, it had to come HARD. And this? Doeeesssss not. I am saying this constructively, with love. MAD, crazy, wild, monkey love. We, the people, are disappointed.
I’m not putting this on Drake - I’m putting this in the hands of Kanye or management (I’m not sure if there was actually a record label to deal with at the time of shooting). With ‘Ye’s unique catalogue of directed videos, I would have imagined something innovative and stylish. With Drake’s viral spread of his mixtape, I would have hoped for a video that was equally shareable. Am I being too much of a hater? What do you think of it?

Drake, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy & Soulja Boy: TOURRR

As we reported earlier, Drizzy Drake will be heading on the road with his mentor Lil Wayne, as well as Young Jeezy! We had initially heard that Jay-Z would be joining the tour (*mouth gape*) but it looks like Hova won’t be on the bill, but Twitter champion Soulja Boy will. I’m there, no question, for Wayne and Drake. I guess I’ll take a break in between. :-O

Apparently tickets go on sale July 20, so start saving!
Aaaaaand I just realized I’ll be on vacation when the tour stops in Toronto. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
