Love her or hate her, Avril Lavigne has done a solid job of making a career for herself based on music that she’s written. Alice (Underground) is no exception. The singer approached Tim Burton with her idea for the song and upon hearing the final version, Burton agreed that the song was perfect for the movie and has given it the green light to play during the ending credits. As far as impressive thumbs ups goes, Burton’s is at the top!

In honour of tomorrows release of Shutter Island, starring my boy Leo (hubba hubba!), today’s Top Ten will feature my favourite Leonardo DiCaprio films. You might be asking yourself, does he have more than ten films? Yes. He has eleven. I kid! I kid! The man has made a ridonkulous amount of films, with 27 in development (srsly, check out IMDB if you don’t believe me – it has never steered me wrong).
Some people pride themselves on their knowledge of fine wines, or books, or geography. I use my brain power to be a Leologist (a phase I’ve coined -feel free to use it, but only if you have spent years studying Leology).
Let us now proceed to the man, the face, the legend…
(Caution! List contains spoilers!)

Hottie Johnny Depp is taking another turn in the director’s chair, this time to direct a documentary about his Jack Sparrow doppelganger Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Richards played Depp’s father in the third installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and Depp has mentioned several times that Richards was his inspiration for Jack Sparrow.
Looks like shooting for the doc could have already begun – Depp told the European media: “Already next week I’ll start working on a Keith Richards documentary. While I’m in Drvengrad, my editor is already working on kilometers of archive footage and footage of his concerts. I’m very touched that Keith agreed to show up in front of my cameras.”
Depp previously directed a film in 1997 called The Brave, which played at the Cannes Film Festival.

* Bill Kaulitz, of Tokio Hotel, walks…no…OWNS the runway at the Dsquared2 fashion show in Milan. Work it!
* Johnny Depp is shirtless on the cover of this month’s GQ Magazine. You can see the pic here. You’re welcome.
* Nike introduces a new line of golf clubs without Tiger Woods in the advertisements. That slapping sound you just heard was Tiger hitting himself in the head. D’oh!
* Paranormal Activity 2 is happening…maybe I’ll see more than the inside of my trembling, sweaty hands this time. Probs not.
* Heidi Montag says that she is not addicted to plastic surgery. Bad move, Heid-ster. If you said you were addicted, we might have cut you some slack for turning yourself into this.
* In a tribute to the great John Hughes, at the 2010 Critics Choice Movie Awards Death Cab for Cutie covered “Don’t You Forget About Me.” Turn it up, walk into the football field and throw your fist triumphantly into the air!

While it’s still not confirmed if he be reprising his role as Jack Sparrow in a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, Johnny Depp is revisiting a role he once played: musician.
The star is currently working with British band Babybird on their comeback record, Ex-Maniac. Depp, who’s a longtime fan of the band, is said to not only be directing a new video of theirs but also make a cameo performing on the album.
Johnny has always dabbled in music throughout his career. He previously played guitar on the Oasis song “Fade In-Out” and had a short-lived band with Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea called P. He also played guitar in the films Chocolat and Once Upon A Time In Mexico.
