Beyonce cleans up at MTV EMAs

Beyonce cleaned up at last night’s MTV EMAs in Berlin, walking away with three awards for best song and best video for “Single Ladies” as well as a trophy for best female. B also performed a scorching rendition of “Sweet Dreams” in a red hot number.

Beyonce’s hubby Jay-Z performed with U2 and walked away with an award of his own for best urban artist. Green Day performed two songs and scored the best rock artist.

This Is It premieres

Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Paris Hilton and Paula Abdul are just some of the stars who turned out for the premiere of This is It last night in Los Angeles.

The film features footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing what would have been his comeback concerts in London just before his death this summer.

Drake, JT, Miley, Katy on Timbaland’s album, Paramore not

Timbaland has revealed an amazing guest list for his second Shock Value album. Drake, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Nickelback, Katy Perry and yes, even Chris Brown are all set to make appearances on the album, which is scheduled for a November 23rd release.

“Morning After Dark” featuring Nelly Furtado and French singer-songwriter SoShy will be the first single.

Some other big names like Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Daughtry and Shakira were originally rumoured but have not been confirmed.

Katy Perry goes “unplugged”

Katy Perry has a new album coming out. Well, sorta.

On November 17, Katy will release an MTV: Unplugged album featuring acoustic versions of songs from her five-million-selling album One of the Boys.

The album was recorded live in New York on July 22, 2009 and will be released as a CD/DVD set.

There will be two brand-new tracks on the album - a cover of the Fountains of Wayne song “Hackensack” and an unreleased original called “Brick By Brick.” The DVD will also include exclusive interview footage.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand came out in style for their first appearance as a couple at Paris Fashion Week. “Rusty” – that’s what we’re calling them – looked stylish in a pink gown and long-jacketed black suit. The two watched the runway from the front row, just a couple seats away from Prince. Photographers also caught the two walking in Paris together, hand in hand.

More performers join MTV Euro Awards

More performers have been announced for the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards.

Shakira and the Foo Fighters will join Green Day, Leona Lewis and Tokio Hotel as acts who’ll play at the show.

Katy Perry will return as host – another thing she has in common with her reported boyfriend Russell Brand.

Much will bring you the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 5th at 7pm ET.

According to The Daily Mail, girl-kisser Katy Perry and UK comedian Russell Brand have begun a whirlwind romance.

The couple first met at last year’s 2008 MTV VMAs, but apparently dove right into a fling at Lady Gaga’s VMAs after party.

Following that they took off on a secret two-week romantic getaway to Thailand.

Lauren was our lucky winner to fly to Las Vegas and meet Katy Perry! Watch the Date go down tonight at 6:30pm ET, and for now read what she has to say about the experience!

Well first off I have to say that this was an experience of a lifetime! I got to fly to Las Vegas and meet Katy Perry and have it all filmed! I will never forget it!

I may as well start from the beginning. I was a home sitting downstairs watching TV when the phone rings. My mom calls down the stairs and says that the phone is for me. I get up and grab the phone and say hello? The person on the other line tells me that I am one of the finalists for the contest My Date with Katy Perry. When I hung up the phone I didn’t know how I should feel. I didn’t want to be excited because I didn’t want to be let down but there was definitely a side of me that was excited! I called my best friend Maddy and told her that I had become a finalist and that if I did, by sheer luck, win, I would take her with me as my bring along. She had absoutely no confidence that I was going to win. Great best friend huh?

Joe Jonas to judge on American Idol

Joe Jonas will be helping out with judging duties on American Idol.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Joe will join already announced Katy Perry and Victoria Beckham as guest judges who are helping to fill Paula Abdul’s vacant chair.

Kelly Clarkson is also reportedly in talks to be a guest judge.
