You may not realize it, but you’re already a huge fan of Alexandra Patsavas. Her resume reads like a timeline of shows and movies that most 20-somethings grew up watching. She’s launched the careers of some of the most notable artists of the decade, including Imogen Heap, The Fray, Death Cab for Cutie, KT Tunstall, Lykke Li, The Killers, Phantom Planet and many more. If it had a memorable soundtrack, Music Supervisor and Chop Shop Music Label owner Alexandra Patsavas was most likely behind it.

After the success of 2010’s Junos, which brought in the biggest audience in the award show’s history and included performances by Drake, Justin Bieber, Metric, Michael Buble, Billy Talent, and K’Naan, it was difficult to imagine that 2011’s show could top the landmark year. But that was before today’s announcement.
Hip hop superstar Drake has been announced as the host of the 2011 Junos, airing on CTV on Sunday, March 27, live from the Air Canada Centre in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. Drake is joining a long line of hosts who have been hugely successful in their careers both at home in Canada and abroad, including Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain, The Barenaked Ladies, Pamela Anderson, Nelly Furtado and two-time host Russell Peters.
