I’m either too young, too old, or too not-American, but I’d never heard of Mark Mulcahy (frontman of the group Miracle Legion, for those whose memories go back to the late 80’s) until recently, when Pitchfork started announcing the release of this compilation, Ciao My Shining Star: The Songs of Mark Mulcahy.
Who is this? you ask. And why should I care?
