Trent Reznor has returned to Twitter.
It appears that married life has made the Nine Inch Nails man a bit soft, for Renzor re-activated his account to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album.
The post reads: “Happy birthday, old friend. Pretty Hate Machine turns 20.”
Looks like it’s a lot harder to stay away from tweeting than Trent originally thought…

Not only is Trent Reznor finished with Nine Inch Nails and Twitter but he’s also said goodbye the single life.

I guess if you could sum up day 2, it would go down as the day that was too freezing to be August. And also again: where was the crowd? And also also: kind of an improvement over day 1. Wellll, here’s the thing. Move Grizzly Bear and Franz Ferdinand to day 2, and we’ve got ourselves a winner.
Read our thoughts about some of the sets and leer at our photos after the jump!

* Grey’s Anatomy hunk Patrick Dempsey is making a movie! He’s going to be playing a doctor. I mean, another doctor. Still a doctor?
* Ryan Gosling (from The Notebook and … Breaker High) is releasing a goth-folk album. I’m not even yanking your chain here.
* Nine Inch Nails adds a bunch of dates for their “final tour” EVER, and one of them is (probably) here! Win!
* WHY is Justin Timberlake writing a book about golf? People are supposed to stick to what they do well, homes, and I’m pretty sure JT’s schtick is not books.
* The Dears are playing a free show at Toronto’s Harbourfront! Get. Your. Shoes On! Aha, I’m just kidding, it’s not until July 26th.

By this time last year we all knew that Foo Fighters and Oasis would be headlining VFest and just waiting on smaller acts to be announced. This year however, it’s totally different. The date and venue haven’t even been announced and that’s kind of a bummer because I’ve enjoyed the past four VFests.
There have been a bunch of rumors that this years VFest would not take place on the island and instead would be somewhere in Orillia. This rumor may have been unofficially confirmed yesterday when Toronto artist Thunderheist & New York based artist Trouble Andrew both updated their MySpace tour listings and added a Virgin Festival - Toronto date for August 30 with the venue being in Orillia, ON.

Has anyone ever made you a mix CD where you find a new band or artist that changes your life so completely you run out and get everything that artist has ever produced, friend their myspace, and check back every few weeks just to see if they’ve updated (even though they may be “in the studio” and bands rarely update during that process)? Denmark’s Mew did that to me.
Yeah, okay, so I’m a huge geek.

According to Wikipedia, a ninja is a warrior specially trained in a variety of unorthodox arts of war, including assassination, illusion, espionage, and various martial arts. Well, last night’s N.I.N.J.A. show at Toronto’s Molson Amphitheatre delivered just that – complete with black suits and all (albeit leather)!
Nine Inch Nails KILLED IT right from opener “Terrible Lie”. This time around, Trent’s rock army took centre stage while spectacular lights took a back seat. If anyone caught them on their last tour, you’ll know what I’m talking about (craziest light show ever, which sent me into some fantastic epileptic-like shock). Playing to a nearly full-house, NIN’s set fit perfectly into the oncoming dusk and eerily timed icy wind from Lake Ontario. With seemingly endless energy, front man Trent Reznor dominated the stage while seamlessly switching from guitar to keyboard to mic to destroyer (you know you’re at a rock show when the roadies are on stage as much as the band). Trent’s latest addition to the NIN team, Ilan Rubin on drums, (think Animal from the Muppets) proved he could hold his own amidst the hurricane that is Reznor.
