Last night was the first of 2 massive shows at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.

U2’s last time at the venue was in 1997 for the gargantuan PopMart tour which had them somewhat ironically emerging from a disco lemon.
Last night’s massive ‘Claw’ stage was a band member on it’s own and U2 were manipulated it like seasoned rock star puppeteers under an open sky. Continue Reading »

U2 brought their 360˚ Tour to Toronto last night at the Rogers Centre in front of 62,000 people.
Their stage is the largest concert stage ever built and could be seen from all sides.
The band has one more date in Toronto tonight at the Rogers Centre and Vancouver’s BC Place on October 28th.

Metric’s fantasies may include getting some “Stadium Love” but it’s Coldplay’s reality.
With a lackluster set from opening bands Elbow and Kitty, Daisy, and Lewis, 50,000 fans were sent into a frenzy when Jon Hopkin’s ambient track, ‘Light Through The Veins,’ began to chime. As the prelude to ‘Life in Technicolor’ continued, the Sky…er…Rogers Centre was transformed into a constellation of flickering digital cameras as fans attempted to snap a picture of Chris Martin, Coldplay’s frontman and former-Sexiest Vegetarian.
