Dares are the best. You want a true test of your friend’s guts and lust for adventure? Dare them to do something and watch the fur fly.

Sarah Taylor is about to up the ante on Dares as we know them: you’re gonna dare her to do something, and she’s gonna do it - AND she’s gonna raise money for AIDS in Africa through the Stephen Lewis foundation (via A Dare To Remember). So you can sponsor Sarah, or even participate yourself! (Click here to see Sarah’s sponsor page)

Soooooooo. What crazy tomfoolery should ST do that would tickle your fancy? Dress in a banana suit for a night out in Toronto? Take trapeze lessons? Wear no pants for a week? Spill your ideas in the comments! And if you’re feeling saucy, sponsor her!

Sarah: Day Brightener

Monday, May 11th, 2009

As you know you can catch College Humor on MuchMusic Monday-Saturday as part of the MM 69′er. All sexual innuendo aside I was on the College Humor website today and came across something that brightened my whole day, so I want to share it with you pretty people.

Even though over John and Paul I’d pick Jon every time, who says we have to be so choosy?

One of my favorite writers John Lennon once sang, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans.” True, very true.

However, my current favourite is one by Irish playwright, poet and author Oscar Wilde who said, “Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about.”

A girl can be random every now and then right? Some more than others.

I found today’s dose of bright, comforting sunshine as I discovered a brand new complilation album titled Covered, A Revolution in Sound: Warner Bros. It’s not an album I’m necessarily recommending to you, and I’ll join you now in asking questions like why on earth is Adam Sandler covering Neil Young? And who told Michelle Branch she could come back from wherever she was long enough to get her hands on Joni Mitchell’s material? But I digress…..

Here’s the link to check out The Flaming Lips covering Madonna’s “Borderline” which is nothing but afternoon sweetness.
