Did you know that at her show at the Danforth Music Hall Lorde donned a custom Maple Leafs jersey for her last song? Let’s just say we’re ready to bow down.

Justin Bieber isn’t the only one who loves Carly Rae Jepsen! We’ve been dancing to Jepsen for years and we thought it was time for MuchMusic to get That Much Closer to one of our fave Canadian singers! Director Ray Wong put together a treatment that was pure Carly – fun, bright and impossible to take your eyes off of! Wong even got Carly to step into uncharted territory when he asked her to dance for the video, saying “She doesn’t dance and had no experience with it, but she (Carly) was excited about the idea and threw herself into learning some of the choreography. She was a trooper about that and did a really great job.” We agree!

It’s difficult to believe that it was less than two months ago that Coldplay took over the MuchMusic parking lot to give fans a night to remember. When the four Brits hit the stage they were surrounded by fans who have been forever changed by their music.

If you watch MuchMusic, you know that we lurve our boys in These Kids Wear Crowns. Their music is fun, exciting, inspirational and frankly makes it impossible to sit still while listening to. Crowd surfing and Dougg’ing in the office has happened on more than one occasion when a TKWC song comes over the loud speaker. It’s totally safe, just keep your eyes open for runaway paper clips that could pose a hazard.
We know that your lurve the six guys from BC as much as we do (maybe more, let’s arm wrestle this out, mmmmkay), which is why we wanted to bring you That Much Closer to TKWC. We sat down with the happiest band in the world and found out why their song Skeletons is the perfect opening track for one of their dance party, sweat sauna, funtastical shows.
Watch the vid after the jump! Woooow Oh Oh Oh Oh!

MuchMusic is the number one spot to get you That Much Closer to your favourite artists. Whether it’s Down With Webster, Lights, Metric, City and Colour or most recently, Hedley, we take you behind the scenes and into the minds of the people that write the soundtrack to your life.
BC boys Hedley have shown that they can do more than write infectious pop-rock hits that make us want to crowd surf. Their latest album, Go With The Show, features a love ballad about two people who are far away from one another. Shot in their hometown and featuring their new single, Sweater Song, check out the amazing That Much Closer spot below.
