Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney was instantly attracted to Lady Gaga, who he met on the set of her video Yoü And I in July 2011, because he likes strong women like his mother Pam, a dental hygienist who raised him and his three brothers on her own in Pennsylvania. Taylor said, “I look up to a strong woman, maybe that’s why I fell for Gaga. She works incredibly hard and is very strong and inspirational like my mom, with a great work ethic.” Taylor Kinney has been in a relationship with Gaga since September 2011 and he admits he has started to think about having children with the Born This Way singer and he feels a “lucky guy” to have met her.

Taylor is quoted by The Sun newspaper saying, “I do want to give mom grandchildren, of course. I think I’d be a good dad, it would be a pleasure. I’d love it and I’m in my 30s now.” Taylor explained, “My mom wants me to get married, and have children of course. She’s met Gaga, we’ve been dating a while, we’re in a committed relationship and I’m really happy in my relationship. I’m a very lucky guy.” Taylor continued, “As far as having more of a domestic life and settling down into my relationship we have to see what happens.”

Taylor, who ‘marries’ Gaga at the conclusion of the Yoü And I promo, insists there are difficulties to overcome dating a global music icon, with the main one being having to maintain a long-distance relationship when she is on tour. Taylor, who is based in Chicago for work, admitted, “I use all the money I make on flights to see the people I love. If I spent it on fancy cars, homes and material stuff I wouldn’t be able to do that. I have the freedom to see the people I care about – my girlfriend and my family. Gaga and I rely on space ships, very fast transport, to see each other.”
