After a heavily publicized few months of dating, Taylor Swift and her 18 year-old boyfriend Conor Kennedy have split. According to US Magazine, the couple’s break up is not recent. A source told the mag “They quietly parted ways a while ago. It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They’re fine.”

Since being spotted together at the beginning of the summer, many wondered how the relationship between 22 year-old superstar Swift and her high school senior boyfriend would last with her hectic schedule. The source added “It’s been over a month since they’ve even seen each other. With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year.”

While Swift has stayed mum on the subject of Conor, she has opened up about his grandmother Ethel Kennedy, calling her ‘fantastic’.

Taylor’s fourth studio album Red was released on Monday and is on target to sell one million copies in its first week.
