Taylor Swift is set to make her television debut this fall.
The Shake It Off singer will be joining the seventh season of The Voice as a celebrity mentor. Taylor will be taking over Chris Martin’s advising job from last season and mentor all the contestants from all four teams. Taylor will appear in one episode and according to a source was a pleasure to work with. With Taylor serving as a guest mentor there’s a high chance she may also shake it off on stage.
Taylor is also in talks to becoming a coach on the eighth season of the show. Producers want Taylor to fill in for any coach that needs time off for future seasons. It’ll be nice to see Taylor sitting in one of those spinning chairs, and just think of all the surprised face and awkward dancing gifs we’ll get.
Taylor isn’t the only celebrity adviser to join the new season of the singing show. Each coach will have a mentor to help their contestants. Stevie Nicks will be helping Adam Levine, Gavin Rosedale will team up with wife Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys is rooting for team Pharrell, and country band Little Big Town will be helping Blake Shelton.
We’ll be seeing and hearing a lot of Taylor this fall. The new season of The Voice premieres September 22 and Taylor’s new album 1989 comes out October 27.Tweet
