One Direction fans are serious when it comes to their boys and who they’re dating. So when rumours recently surfaced that ladies man Harry Styles might be starting a fling with Taylor Swift, fans got angry – so angry that some began to send the country-pop star death threats.

The Sun newspaper reports some of these messages, one saying “I’ll murder Taylor Swift. She will not date my Harry,” whereas another one read, “If u dating my harry, I kill u.”

The two have been linked for the past few weeks, since Swift’s break-up with Conor Kennedy last month. There have been countless reports of Swift and Styles canoodling backstage at the US X Factor tapings, with Styles even sitting in on Swift’s soundcheck with her mom.

On a radio show, co-host Mario Lopez even confirmed that he saw the two hanging out on set, saying that he saw them holding hands. He even talks about the rehearsal sighting, explaining that Harry slapped him on the back during Swift’s soundcheck and when Lopez asked him what he was doing there, he pointed at her.
