Taylor Swift isn’t in the movie adaptation of Les Misérables anymore. The country singer was offered to play the role of Eponine last month in the upcoming film adaptation of the well-known stage play. But today, news around the internet is buzzing about how Swift is being replaced by U.K. stage actress Samantha Barks. Barks played the role twice before in a London production in 2010, and during the 25th Anniversary Concert at the 02 Arena in 2011.
The 21-year-old Barks also beat out other high-profiled talent for the role, including Evan Rachel Wood, Scarlett Johansson and Lea Michelle. The film is being directed by Tom Hooper, and so far has a confirmed cast of Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne and Anne Hathaway, among others.
