Taylor Swift to debut new song at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon

Taylor Swift will premiere a new song at Friday’s Stand Up to Cancer telethon. The song, called Ronan, was written as a tribute to a 4-year-old boy who died last year of neuroblastoma.

Swift was inspired to write the song after reading the blog of Ronan’s mother, Maya Thompson, who is credited as a co-writer. The song will be available on iTunes following the performance and all the proceeds will go to cancer-related charities.
