TEEN ‘Rumblette’ (Mixtape)

Here We Go Magic’s Teeny Lieberson has a new band called TEEN, who will release their Sonic Boom-produced debut album, In Limbo, via Carpark on August 28th. Today they released a mixtape teaser featuring homages to Pavement, OutKast, Laurie Anderson and OutKast.
Making a mixtape is the perfect opportunity to do something different, with no rules. The challenge of taking things that don’t make sense instinctually and then making it work is so exciting. Like pairing 702 and Aphex Twin. Outkast and Wang Wei (poet). It creates an off-kilter feeling that seems like you’re stuck in a dream. Kind of like being in love in the summer.
