Teen Wolf Ep. 8: Raving

July 17th, 2012

OMG, Teen Wolf fans! Last night’s episode, Raving, was insanely good. Why? Well, we got to see Jackson Kanima-out more (by the way, Colton Hayne’s possessed body acting is supremely above par), we got some Scott and Allison action, Stiles got screen time, and we saw Jackson, Isaac, and Erica grinding up a storm in a weird wolf-reptile sandwich. Still got your lunch? Let’s get right into it, shall we? If you haven’t watched Raving yet, watch it here!

Sherriff Stallinsky isn’t the typical cop stereotype on television. Forget donuts, Stallinsky is always thinking about patterns and he found one in the victims of the Kanima. The mechanic, the trailer park couple were all the same age. And the connection? They were all in Mr. Harris’ class. You could just tell he hated being a teacher!

Meanwhile, Scott has been tracking the movements of Jackson and has followed him into a club. He looks uber-creepy.

And in the Argent-side of town, Chris Argent starts giving Allison a lesson she doesn’t want to learn from two corpses lying before her. Mr. Argent tells Allison that she has a responsibility to their deaths to help them catch a killer (but that also means killing Jackson).

Team Derek convene at the vet office and they learn that they need to use the Kanima’s weakness against the master. They figure that whatever the master is weak against, then the Kanima is weak against too. Essentially, the crew is trying to help, save, and capture three beings: the master, the Kanima, and Jackson.

At school Allison and Scott have a terse and awkward conversation. They need to lose the scent off their relationship and that means Allison needs to keep up the appearance that they’re not together… but it looks like someone is watching them anyways. Mrs. Argent, could you please be any less creepy?

Later at night, Team Argent prepare to catch them a Kanima. Thanks to the intel, we know that both Team Argent and Team Derek are going to corner the Kanima at the site of its next victim: a warehouse rave.

And at Stiles’ house, we find out that Sherriff Stalinsky has lost his job because Stiles’ involvement in many of the town’s woes.

Scott has been busy tracking Jackson’s movements, and watches him at the warehouse party.

Isaac and Scott work together to try to stab Jackson in the jugular with a sedative. Before Scott leaves, he tells Isaac to be safe. Because he cares. This seems to surprise Isaac. Doesn’t surprise us, does it? Scott has major Alpha material.

Team Derek and Team Argent could really get things done if they just worked together, wouldn’t they? They both want the Kanima out of their sights and away from the rest of humanity, right? But nah. They’ll let the little thing of being a shape shifter get in the way.

Kinda look like Isaac is about photobomb Jackson, no?

But before any semblance of a “good” plan can go through Mrs. Argent hits Scott with her car. Yep. Because that’ll show him.

And Stiles has been gifted with the responsibility of supernatural-power-proofing the joint. And he makes it work.

After everything, Stiles, Isaac, and Erica all manage to sedate and pin Jackson down. But not for long.

Nearby, Mrs. Argent has captured herself a teen wolf. She is pure evil, am I right? She uses a vaporizer filled with Wolf’s Bane to weaken and kill Scott.

The sedative only lasts for so long and so a possess Jackson rages out. But not before telling the crew why he’s killing – he’s killing because he was killed by his victims, meaning maybe Mr. Harris is not the culprit but something more nefarious is the master.

At the warehouse party, Matt and Allison have an awkward moment. Yikes.

Unencumbered with the sedative, the Kanima kills his target. Gruesome.

Before dying himself, Scott howls for his pack. Derek comes to the rescue and manages to fight off Victoria and get Scott out of the Wolf’s Bane room.

As Scott recovers at the vet’s office, Maya-I-mean-Ms. Morrell visits and foreshadows what is to come.

And Mrs. Argent reveals the bite. Yep, she got bitten. I’m going to say it: she deserved it.

Ah! What’s going to happen next week? Will Mrs. Argent become a shapeshifter? Will Stiles work more on his powers as a young sorcerer? Will the fate of her mother scare Allison away for good? Guess we’re all going to have to watch Teen Wolf when it airs after Degrassi Monday at 10:30pm ET/ 7:30pm PT right here on MuchMusic.
