My mouth is still agape, people! Colton Haynes will not be returning to Teen Wolf, arguably one of the best new shows on television. Colton took to Twitter and tweeted, “These past few yrs have been the best of my life. I’m sad that this chapter has ended, but excited for a new one to begin. Thx for the love”. Teen Wolf was renewed for a third season and the number of episodes ordered went from the usual twelve to twenty four. Apparently, Colton was only asked back for half the season and according to a source at Us Weekly, “It’s not that he didn’t want to return because he did. It’s that the heads of the show wanted to limit him to only appearing on half the season – twelve episodes, not twenty four.” Us Weekly also reports that Teen Wolf producers are also conducting a national casting search to find two identical male twins for the upcoming season.

We’re so totally saddened by this! Jackson’s character had so much depth and subtleties and it was absolutely wonderful (and dreadful at times) to come to know this character better. The only upside? This might allow the whole Lydia and Stiles thing to actually happen now. But truthfully I’d rather have Jackson with the drama over a Stildia relationship any day. And it looks like the cast agrees. The same Us Weekly source also said, “They are sad as they had become a family.” They further explained, “Colton loves Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden and Tyler Posey. They are his best friends. He is upset that he won’t be returning … He is being forced out of the show.”
