Tegan & Sara - “The Con”

Sometimes an album comes along that is without compromise. It isn’t about 12 hits. It isn’t about being iPod friendly. It tells you a story. From track one till the end. It is complete and perfect. It has been a long time since an album has landed on my desk that I have become so easily and willingly addicted to. That I don’t pick favourites on. That I always start at the beginning.

Ladies and gentlemen, to you I present The Con - Tegan and Sara’s latest album. Recently I interviewed Cancer Bats and they were in full agreement. It just blows you away and breaks your heart and is full of great music. Get your hands on it (listen to a few tracks on their MySpace page). You won’t regret it. I will have the opportunity to interview them at the end of the month so keep your eyes peeled on The NewMusic!

  1. tegan and sara have consistantly put out amazing cds they will hopefully get larger recognition as they continue with there careers there music is inspiring everyone should check them out

  2. i have to say i completely agree - with this album i cant pick favorites, i cant turn it ohh halfway through, im thoroughly addicted and am willing to admit such a thing, about the story - i never thought of it that way, but it strikes a chord with me, and yes it does tell a story and everytime i listen to it my heart breaks with enjoyment and sadness as each song hits you on the spot and continually breaks your heart everytime i listen to it - and its so bitter sweet, it makes me happy that it does break my heart - im so glad that someone else out there agrees
