Thanks Matt. It’s hard to believe that this is the end of my second week of work already…it’s gone by in a flash. I thought maybe it would be a good time to sum up my experiences so far.
It’s a lot of fun working here overall, but there are certain parts of the job that I know I already like more than most. One of these is just the walk from the subway to work every morning, as I’m greeted by MegaRick ™. That’s the name I’ve given to the absolutely enormous and freaky billboard of an orange-tinged Rick Campanelli that grins down from the east side of the ChumCity building. It’s a bracing and slightly intimidating sight and one that properly prepares me for a day in The Environment.
Not that The Environment is intimidating, really. But it’s such a hive of activity and so much is going on all at once that you sometimes find yourself going a little nutty. That’s when I settle down behind Cousin ‘Puter, plug in the headphones and throw on some Slayer. I can think of nothing better than Slayer to stimulate the little gray cells – and I’m sure Slayer fans would agree.
Another thing I really like about working here is the washrooms. Yes, that might seem to be a bit strange, but besides dirty socks, my biggest pet peeve is nasty washrooms. In the ChumCity building, there’s not one to be found – or if there is, I haven’t found it…
And I think the best thing about working here is all the smiling, happy people. It’s great to have co-workers like that!
So, all in all, it’s good food, good friends, good times. Or maybe that’s a better description for a restaurant. But it will have to do – the ADB is calling me!
And I’m calling JarJar: dude, are you smilin’?
