Canadian music fans have been placing their bets on who will take on the coveted role of this year’s host of the Juno Awards and it looks like they’re going to get their answer during Sunday’s Super Bowl. CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) will announce the host(s) of THE 2013 JUNO AWARDS in a new, 30-second promo that will premiere during CTV’s broadcast of SUPER BOWL XLVII this Sunday, February 3.
The top-secret message was taped in Los Angeles earlier this month by the international superstar(s) who will return to Canada to host the two-hour awards broadcast on Sunday, April 21 on CTV. This year’s awards ceremony will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan and marks the 42nd anniversary of the awards show, which was created to celebrate achievements in the Canadian music industry.
Past hosts of the Juno Awards include Shania Twain, Russell Peters, William Shatner and Drake.
