Irreverent NYC rap group Das Racist go all out in the video (what, no DasRacistVEVO?) for “Michael Jackson,” from their new album, Relax, out next week on Greedhead Records. There’s a lot going on here, but we’ve isolated the best parts for you below. In order of appearance:
This Woman
We don’t know who she is, but the way she says “holla” just feels right.
Das Racist in Africa
Part of their homage to Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” video, Das Racist visit Africa via greenscreen.
Das Simpsons
Possibly a reference to the Michael Jackson episode of The Simpsons, the group is rendered in the cartoon family’s living room.
As Male Strippers
The group’s Heems and Kool A.D. as Chippendale’s dancers. Don’t question it.
Morph Sequence
Another “Black or White” reference, this time to the part when people of all races and genders morph into one another, demonstrating that we are really all one people.
