Brooklyn band The Antlers released a water-themed EP this past July titled Undersea, so a video featuring artistic shots from beneath the ocean makes complete sense. And that’s what they’ve done for the song “Drift Dive.” Seems harmless enough, but considering the mess that Sandy has made in their backyard, the band felt it necessary to address the coincident.
On their Facebook wall the band wrote, “Considering all that’s just happened in NYC, today is a strange day to debut our new video, but it feels oddly appropriate too. James Case-Leal created this beautiful piece to accompany ‘Drift Dive’. We hope it provides you with some comfort in the face of all this devastation. We love you, New York.”
