It’s actually dangerous
November 10th, 2010
There’s nothing more devestating to a band than losing a member. Sometimes it’s as easy as hiring a guitar tech or obsessive fan, sometimes it’s such a blow that the band can no longer function.
For Brooklyn popsmiths The Drums, losing guitarist Adam Kessler was not such a loss but a brief period of adjusting to life as a trio. When MuchMusic spoke with them, they made it sound like they were better off… and now superheroes because of it.
There was also the talk of how their hit single “Let’s Go Surfing” has nothing or at least very little to do with actual surfing, but more of a metaphor for, well, just about anything.
