Trent Reznor posted a note last night on the Nine Inch Nails forums announcing that the band will tour with the newly reformed Jane’s Addiction later this year and that it may very well be the last Nine Inch Nails tour ever. Trent admits that last year’s Lights In The Sky tour was physically and technically exhausting and quite possibly the most majestic thing the band has ever pulled off - you have to admit that it’d be a nice note to end on, right?
2009 celebrates twenty years since Nine Inch Nails first released Pretty Hate Machine (1989) - can you believe it’s been that long?
Is this another idle threat from a musician (a la Jay-Z, Ryan Adams) to stop making music, or do you think this is it for NIN? And would you be happy about the way they went out if they did it right now?
