The Gaslight Anthem “45″ (Stream)

For all you Gaslight Anthem fans out there, you can look forward to a return to their punk roots for the band with their upcoming album, Handwritten which will be released on July 24. The Gaslight Anthem has been active since 2006 and have gained a following with their folk infused Americana-sound with American Slang. The Gaslight Anthem told Rolling Stone more about their lead single, 45 explaining, “This song felt to us like we still had something to say in this long line of rock & roll tradition,” says lead front man Brian Fallon. “It made the path clear as to what we should do next. Sometimes you just have to leave things behind . . . turn the record over.” Until then, you can listen to 45 here.
